Thanksgiving 2, Pandemic 1. In this second year of the first pandemic of my lifetime, I’m thankful for the vaccine. Of course I’m profoundly thankful for my own good health and that of family and friends

The last 20 months have really brought home the importance of being able to derive joy from what used to seem like little things, things we took for granted. Today, I’m thankful to have Thanksgiving dinner indoors. Thankful for warmth after spending last Thanksgiving out on the terrace, dressed for skiing. Huddled with Kathy and Ellen under the outdoor heaters and next to the grill, cooking and eating paella with gloves on. Yeah, I’m really thankful for the great indoors.
